I have practiced for over 25 years in pediatric critical care medicine and was the  medical director of Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis (Tulsa, OK) 20-bed tertiary care PICU from 1998 to 2021. I am board certified in both Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and General Pediatrics. I have significant experience in pediatric critical care, pediatric cardiovascular surgical intensive care, pediatric emergency medicine, and pediatric hospital medicine. I am also well versed in both VV and VA ECMO and have directed the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis ECMO program (10 annual average cases) for over 13 years.  Working in  Level 1/ tertiary care PICU's provided me with extensive experience with high frequency ventilation (HFOV), inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).

I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at both University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and Oklahoma State University College of Medicine. I am active in training pediatric, anesthesia and emergency medicine residents as well as rural emergency medicine physicians. I have authored and published several peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters in the medical literature on various critical care topics such as septic shock, ARDS, and respiratory failure.

I have been a medical advisor for Virtual Pediatric Systems, LLC that is a quality database for over 180 PICU’s throughout North America used to assess quality and levels of care guidelines. I have been performing legal case reviews as a medical expert for both defense and plaintiff clients for over 20 years. I am experienced in delivering both deposition and trial testimony. My aim is to provide clear, sensible, objective medical opinions for case reviews that are founded in good science.  I am also active in clinical research and published and authored or co-authored over a dozen novel research manuscripts over the last twenty years.
